Day 5 on Mackinac Island 

Friday, August 24th

The highest room in the Grand Hotel.

Ivy horses and carriage were a creative lawn decoration at the hotel.

Fort Mackinac

Rick enjoyed the cannons.

Rick did Boy Scouts growing up, and was an Eagle Scout, so he had much in common with the Scouts that were at Fort Mackinac.  He was able to talk with several, as well as give them the gospel.  One thing I admire about Rick is how often he remembers to pull out a gospel tract and tell people about the Lord. 

When we were done touring Fort Mackinac, we went back to our bikes, to find that our snacks (particularly our bag of skittles) had been raided...

...by crows!

They seemed very unrepentant, even after we threw things at them.  

Despite the pesky crows, this day was one of our favorite on the island.
